Good morning.  Another perfect day in paradise - well almost!

Day 2838 - "Living My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.

I am still having problems getting my Blog to post when I publish.  If you are getting my
email, please let me know!

Today is work at the family store and the closing activities of the Missions Conference at Community.  Been a busy week.

Yesterday was a good day - at least I did not drink over it!  Things did not go well for me personally at work - it will be ok!

Tomorrow is another day.

Next week I am dog/house sitting for AJ.  Snd the following week is the Missions Trip!

Day 2837 - "Living My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.

Today, after work, I will start back to Gold's Gym.  I am about 50 years too late, but just want to make sure everything is still working.  Missions Conference tonight.

Yesterday was a good day, finished assembling the pergola.  Doris was happy!  Me too!

Tomorrow is the annual Fish Fry and final closing session of the Missions Conference. Steadfast Servants Men meeting at 6:00 am.

Running late, got to go to work!

Good morning, it is a beautiful day!  My older brother, James Lee, is celebrating his birthday today!  Happy birthday Jim!

Day 2326 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time..

Today I meet with my AJ at Walmart (McD) for coffee.  Then work at the Family Store.  We hired another part-time clerk so things have been a little easier on me - a little!  After work I want to finish assembling the pergola that I bought for Doris.  A one day job for 2 men, but I am not 2 men.  Today will be day 4 and Doris is getting...anxious!

Yesterday was a good day.  First day of our Missions Conference.  Good crowd and start to the Conference.  Worked on the pergola and went to the Stuart Lodge in the afternoon.

Tomorrow - plan to enjoy the new pergola with Doris!

Missions trip is planned for March 12 - 18.  So excited to get an opportunity to get "out of my self" and really serve others for a change.

Doris is feeling better  - the second week after chemo is always better!

Got to go - got a late start.

Good morning.  I am back!  Got a new computer and learning how to use it:  Navigation is a nightmare right now - mainly the keyboard - may have to go back to the old one!

Lot to do today - assembling a new pergola I got for Doris - it is really difficult single handedly!

Today begins our annual Missions Conference at Community.  begins with a church-wide fellowship this afternoon and ends Wednesday with a "fishing for souls" fish fry!  A lot of eating!

Missions trip to Guatemala is the week of the12th - plan to go if all works out!

One day at a time.

Thursday, May 4, 2017

Good morning,  I hit the snooze once to many times this morning, am running late.  But I will catch up.  It is a beautiful morning!

Anyway, coffee is made (used some of my Guatemalan coffee), cats are fed, almost dressed - ready to begin.

I am having a serious problem with Blogger - error message keep interrupting my post.  Hope it will quit soon.  That will not happen - got to do something about it!

I may have found a solution, I changed browsers - we will see.

Good morning.  It is a beautiful morning.

Well, I am back - my last post was exactly 7 months ago.  The great reason for my absence has to to with the health and welfare of family.  A lesser reason is my own laziness - it is always easier to do nothing than to do something.  I long as I have good intentions I could put off anything!

A lot has happened in the last seven months - including a broken arm in October.  Then in December my son and his family came for an almost four month visit.  And in March I spent eight days in Guatemala with our missions team.

Oh, and yes, THE CUBS WON THE WORLD SERIES!

Not to mention we have a new MAN in the White House.

Today is Men' Bible Study at 6:00 am and then work at the Family Store.  We have just reopened the store after putting down a new floor.  We are really only about half done and it will be at least the rest of the month before we get everything back in place.  It was really ill-planned and the actual work is sub-par - in my opinion.  But it is what it is and we will live with it and make it work. I think we expected too much and the company we hired underestimated the size of the job.

Yesterday was a good day.  Doris and I are painting the interior of the house - even though I have not finished the exterior yet, but I will!  It has been a good experience, Doris actually appreciates my help, and I really do not mind helping her.  W got a good rain yesterday so I will have to think about mowing the yard.

Tomorrow is Thursday.  Last Thursday I worked in the yard all day since I was off because of the store closing.  This Thursday I am working but will try to get the yard mowed.  Might put it off until Friday since I will have a three day weekend this week (worked last Saturday).

GUIDELINES AND GUARDRAILS

Psalm 16:11 - You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your
right hand there are pleasures forever.

Proverbs 3:1,2 - My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments; for                               length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.

Reading thru the Bible, once again in "17 - Read II Kings 6-8  (Obedient Christians need not fear for tomorrow!  instead, we can rejoice in the promises of God, who shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus - Philippians 4:19)

Keep It Simple - We all make mistakes!  We do the Steps to claim our mistakes!  We recover when we
learn from our mistakes.

MMM - just some thoughts:  (1) LBB - Easy does it does not mean not doing it.  It can be hard work.
(2) RFX - ...our willingness to clean house is still largely theoretical.

Wednesday, September 7, 2016

Good morning!  It is a beautiful morning.  Warm and humid, partly cloudy - but not rain, yet.  I love living in (almost) paradise!

Day 2311 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.  Today, I will remember to live each day as my first day!

Today is A & E @ McD with AJ.  Then work, it is dollar day at the FS.  And it is the first Wednesday of the month so it will be very busy.  Church tonight, maybe the gym too?

Yesterday was a good day.  Really got to get more done around the house in the evenings - there is just the two of us and Doris can't do it all!

Tomorrow may be the day!

We had a great weekend with the little boys in GA.  We took them to see "Pete's Dragon."  And I took them swimming in the Motel pool.

Getting ready now for my weekend trip to Haiti with Pastor Phillip.  It will be interesting.  Also thinking about our 2017 Missions Trip to Guatamale in March.  Time flies!

Jeff in on the road, on his way back from California.  Alicia is getting ready to go to NC for Zacks Graduation from Basic Training in October.
