Friday, May 16, 2014

It is Friday - the start of my three day weekend - YooHoo.  Cloudy this morning but is going to continue to clear and tomorrow and Sunday are going to be perfect - sunny, warm, and low humidity.  Up early and enjoying the morning with the boys.  got everything, but this blog done before they got up.  We had donuts for breakfast.

Day 1470 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.  Today, I will remember that when I give in to self-pity, I give up God's riches!

I am so tired of this computer - shuts down without warning, for no reason, none that I understand anyway.  Really throws off my routine.

It is 11:30 - already took a bike ride, went to Walmart, and walked to the pond and fed the turtles.

My back is really hurting - moved furniture all day at work yesterday - really cannot do that - but when kids 40 years younger refuse to do it and management lets them refuse - the work has still got to get done.

Yesterday was a good day - except for the fact that I had to do more than I could at work.  Sat with heat on my back all evening.

Tomorrow will be better!

GUIDELINES &  GUARDRAILS

Psalm 80:3,7,19 - Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

Proverbs 16:6 - By mercy and truth iniquity is purged:  and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.

Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - I Chronicles 14 - 16  When we complain and are despondent, it is truly a victory for Satan and an insult to God for we are demonstrating lack of faith in God's word and dissatisfaction with His will.

Turning Points (with David Jeremiah) - "Into the Sewer"  (Read Matthew 9:10)  He stated His message boldly and forcefully without compromise, whether He was speaking to toe lowest outcast of society or a member of the Pharisee elite.   Jesus was no respecter of persons.

MMM - just some thoughts:  (1) Practice prayer until you become perfect.  (2) Forgiveness begins with willingness and never ends.

Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike

"God does not only want us to pray for ourselves
but for the perishing around us,
 and that in such intercession
great boldness of entreaty is often needful,
and always lawful, yea, pleasing to God.
