My Prayer For "My Next Thirty Years"

Heavenly Father, teach me to number my days that I may gain a Heart
of Wisdom and fulfill your purpose for my life today.

Sunday, July 27, 2014

Good morning.  Slept late, very late for me.  But worked hard yesterday and was very tired.  Woke up when I started dreaming about 'work' and my back began hurting.  Up now and feel better.  It is a really beautiful morning.  I am so blessed to be living in a place where every morning is a beautiful morning.

Day 1540 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.  Today, I will remember that I reap what I sow - I reap later then I sow and I reap more than I sow, but I reap what I sow!

The more you sow the more you grow.  The more you grow the more you know.  The more you know the more you go.

Today is Church - going to get my bag filled with good seed to sow.  Still waiting to hear more on Doris's mother.  She is in ICU in Lafayette, Indiana - Doris may fly home this week - everything is in in a state of flux this morning.  Praying for our will - for Rosemary's soon recovery, and for God's will in all things.

Yesterday was a good day.  Stayed home and worked all day in the yard.  I think that is what I did last Saturday too!  The price of living in paradise!

Tomorrow is back to work - or whatever, everything changes in a moment.  Every day is the same, every day is different.

(Update - Doris is leaving early in the morning - flying up with Alicia and Kara.  She plans to return with Donnie and Jean when they come down, around the 8th.  Alicia and Kara are coming back on Thursday.  I will care for the dogs, of course.)

GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS

Psalm 132:13 - For the Lord hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.  (An appropriate Psalm in light of the news out of Gaza and Israel!)

Proverbs 27:1 - Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day my bring forth(And so appropriate for today in light of the news out of Indiana!)

Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - Proverbs 27-31

My Notes on "THE SUNDAY SERMON"

FAITH THAT WORKS
"An Exposition of the Epistle of James"
(James 2:21-26)

Hidden Hopes on the Highway to Hell!

( In each of us their is a hidden hope that God will in our case or the case of our son or daughter or mother or father or husband or wife consider our works and not apply the truth - "The just shall live by Faith!")

Pastor Phillip, recognizing the difficulty of last weeks message from James, took some extra time to review and reinforce, with some additional clarity, last weeks message - "Faith That Does Not Work."

As much as Faith and Works seem to be opposites, so does Abraham and Rahab seem to be opposites.  Yet it is the same Faith and the same works.  They both believed God; they both but their hope in God;  they both evidenced their faith in God by their works for (obedience to) God.  So different but brought together by faith and works throughout Scripture.

Faith is the Cause, Works are the Evidence!

Saved by Grace . . . Living By Faith,
Mike
