Heavenly Father, teach me to number my days that I may gain a Heart
of Wisdom and fulfill your purpose for my life today.

Good morning.  It really is a beautiful morning.  Really should have been at the beach for the sunrise.  Really need to enjoy the mornings more - really!

Up later this morning - still ready for church an hour before time to leave.  Could go to a Bible Study Class, but ... .

Day 1561 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.  Today, I will remember that life is 10% what happens and 90% how I react to what happens.

Today is church - most every one is back - school starts tomorrow.  Been reading James 3 all week, anxious to hear Phillip's exposition.  Maybe a cookout and a trip to the beach today - if it does not rain?

Yesterday was a good day.  Doris and Jean went to Walmart and Publix in the morning, and Donnie and Kim came over with friends of theirs for a short visit.  The women went to the the fruit market.  Just sat around and talked a while.  When they left we had chocolate cake, watched stupid SyFy movies and went to bed.

I did get some trimming on the hedge done.  It took longer to get to it that it did to do it!

Tomorrow is back to work - enjoyed my three day weekend.  Doris and Jean are going to the beach, and whatever else they decided to do.  I have got to get back to the gym - haven't been in a week!

GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS

Psalm 83:18 - ...that men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, are the most high over all the earth.

Proverbs 17:9 - He that covers a transgression seeks love; but he that repeats a matter separates very friends.

Notes on "THE SUNDAY SERMON"

FAITH THAT WORKS
"An Exposition of the Epistle of James"
(James 3: 5-12)

Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things.  Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!   And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity:  so is the tongue among our member, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

   I.  It has a Destructive nature - all consuming.

II.  It has a Distinguishing characteristic - all condemning.

III.  It has a Duality of purpose - all confusing.

But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.  Try anyway!

Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
