Heavenly Father, teach me to number my days that I may gain a Heart
of Wisdom and fulfill your purpose for my life today.

Monday, September 22, 2014

Good morning.  It is Monday!  I have no idea what this week will bring.  So far so good - but I haven't even been outside yet.  Looking forward to a good week though - can't think of any place I have to go or anything I have to do - out of the ordinary!  Maybe the lull before the storm!

Day 1597 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.  Today, I will remember to seek wisdom from above to handle the foolishness from below.  (James 3:17,18)

Today I MMM and work at the Family Store.

Yesterday was a good day.  Church, Doris fixed a potroast for dinner then we made a trip to Joann Fabric to get yarn.  No drama, no decisions, no demands!

Tomorrow is Tuesday - may be the day it all falls apart, or maybe the day it all comes together!

GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS

Psalm 109:26,27 - Help me, O Lord my God:  O save me according to thy mercy:  that they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, Lord, hast done it.

Proverbs 22:24,25 - Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:  lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.

Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - Amos 1 - 5

Turning Points (with David Jeremiah) - "Grace Is Greater"  (Vindicate me, O god, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; of, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man! - Psalm 43:1)  Sin and despair, like the sea waves cold, threaten the soul with infinite loss; grace that is greater -- yes, grace untold, points to the refuge, the mighty Cross.

MMM - just some thoughts:  (1) Congratulations, Karen, on 40 years!  (2) Joy is the observable evidence of the spiritual life.  (3) If I a not happier as a result of my faith, there is something wrong - with my faith or with me!  (4) Don't invent emotions you do not have!

Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike

"Today may be the day it all falls apart; or it may be the day it all comes together.  But it does not matter for He is in control in the calm and in the chaos!"
