Good morning. Up later - did not get the alarm set right do it did not go off but was awake but just laid there until I could not. Had stomach cramps in the night and my ribs on the right side hurt. But I am fine now, well as fine as it gets anyway. I enjoy the early morning daylight - guess I will have to make sure I get up early enough to give me a good reason for DST.
Day 1639 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time. Today, I will remember that prayer is NOT wielding God's power to accomplish my plan; but yielding to God's plan to accomplish His purpose in His power.
Today is the first Monday of November - only three more to go! But the boys will be here in 23 day, YooHoo! Should be a good day at work but I wonder who will not me there today. It does not matter, it is not my business. I have plenty to do and will keep busy doing it It will be cold in there, I do not know whether the store has heat or not! Gym this afternoon after work and then if we have any daylight left, I will get some more work done on the patio and awning.
Yesterday was a good day. Good services at church - ushering went well, well OK. After church I worked on the back patio getting ready to extend the patio with pavers so the awning will fit better. Cooked out on our new grill again - hamburgers this time. Watch some of the air show while we were out at Lowe's getting the pavers and some potting soil. It was a beautiful day and the traffic was the heaviest I have ever seen for the airshow.
Tomorrow is Tuesday - the day I get ready for Wednesday.
It is a long work week - have to work on Saturday, and with DST I really do not know how much I can get done outside. but there is always plenty to to inside.
GUIDELINES AND GUARDRAILS
Psalm 11:1,7 - In the Lord I put my trust; How can you say to my soul, "Flee as a bird to your mountain"? For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright.
Proverbs 3:21,21 - My son, let them (my law) not depart from your eyes - keep sound wisdom and discretion; so they will be life to your soul and grace to your neck.
Bible Pathways (Reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - John 6 - 8
Turning Points (with David Jeremiah) - "When Hearts Come Together" ( From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. - Psalm 61:2 ) We may not be able to rejoice in our circumstances, but we can rejoice in the Lord and rest in God our Saviour.
MMM - just some thoughts: (1) LBB - What I do for myself is my loss; what I do for others is my gain! (2) RFX - Examining myself takes the shame and surprise out of the examination by others.
