Good morning,  I'm Back!  Up with the alarm - S,S.S, and chores all done.  I think I am ready to start the day?  Some showers earlier this morning, partly cloudy and warm this morning.  It is a beautiful morning.  It is good to be home - slept well and feel good this morning.  But miss the boys already!

Day 1687 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.  (Heard this on the radio on the up to Georgia, and I paraphrase it a bit) -Today, I will remember that to succeed we often have to give more just when we feel like giving up!  Today, I will give more!

Today is MMM and work at the FS.  It will be a short week - we a close the store at 12:30 on the 24th for a combined staff dinner with the office personnel at Carabba's, and do not open again until Saturday the 27th.  That means a four day weekend for me (but two days off WITHOUT pay).  And everyone knows what I think about that!!!  Got to go to the Townhouse and get started on getting finished after work.

Yesterday was a good day.  Said good bye to the Georgia boys and was on the road at 9:00 - good trip but heavy traffic.  We got home at a little after 5:00.  486 miles, 8 hours, no problems.  Honey did well on the trip put insisted on sitting in the front seat with us.

Tomorrow is Tuesday - getting ready for a short day Wednesday.

We pick up Brook, Bry and Austin Thursday evening for the weekend - we will then had time with all our grand kid this Christmas season.  The will be here til Tuesday.  If all goes as planned - we never know for sure until it happens with them?

Have not had time to prepare for the Haiti trip but it is always on my mind - February 8 - 15th. Looking forward to getting out of myself for a week.

GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS

Psalm 107:1,2 - Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!  For His mercy endures forever.  Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed for the hand of the enemy.

Proverbs 22:1 - A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches.  Loving favor rather than silver and gold.

Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - II, III John, Jude

Turning Points (with David Jeremiah) - "Secure in Him"  ( And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. - John 1:14 )  If you are a Christian, trust today that, in Christ, your life is secure in the purposes and plans of God.  He loves you no less and no different that he loved the babe in the cradle, who was to become the bloody sacrifice on the cross.

MMM - just some thoughts:  (1) I open Christmas day - do not forget!  (2)  My serenity is not a question of feeling, but an assurance of experience.  (3) If I am not careful, I will come up with my own ideas!  (4) If anything else worked for me, I would not be here!

Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
