Good morning - coldest morning in 4 years here this morning - 36 when I got up two hours ago! But a light breeze has keep the 'frost off the flowers' and it is clear and sunny. All in all, not too bad. Am so thankful for the heating unit built into our air conditioning system. Some home in South Florida do not have heat. The best Six dollars a day I have ever spent (the cost of FP&L electricity)!
Day 1748 - Living "MNTY" one day at a time. Today I will remember that by trusting God, I have gotten so much more than I would have settled for!
Today I missed MMM - just was slow in getting around - like 40 weight oil in sub zero weather! I remember those days and want no more of them. Wish I could 'call out, sick' but I can't. I do not understand how others do? I remember going to work in a factory in Indiana in snow and sub zero temps with the flu - and no heat in the buildings because of oil and gas shortages! And I ain't lyin'!!!
Yesterday was a good day. We were short handed again, as usual, so Rosa went out on the truck and she is sick! She is off today but everyone else should be at work - but I would not bet on it! Went to the gym and cut down on the resistance and upped the repetitions. I am trying to let my right arm to to recuperate. Doris fixed pinto beans with ham and corn bread for dinner. I love the musicial fruit!
Tonight I will spend the evening with Ray while Doris and Marylee go out. They are going to a "Brass Concert" at Hobe Sound Bible College.
Tomorrow is a day off - just going to work around the house and yard - do a few things here and there. I am not making a list, just taking the day off. I really still am tired from Haiti. There is a church softball game and fellowship in the afternoon that I will probably drop in on.
Last Week in Haiti: Friday Norm supervised the painting by the locals while AJ and I worked on
building some steps and installing the cross that was inside on the outside of the building. JP built is in 2013 and hung in behind the pulpit, but the church used curtains which hid it so we decided to mount it on the building outside where it could be seen. We quit early so that we could fix a "lunch" or the painters and to begin pack getting things ready for Saturday - the medical team was coming early for a clinic.
Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
