Sunday, February 22, 2015

Gooooood morning!!!!  IT IS A BEAUTIFUL MORNING!  Up later this morning, but went to bed later too.  Slept very well - I really needed that good nights sleep.  Feel good this morning, my arm still is hurting and a few aches and pains, but everything is working - more or less.  Chores done, getting ready for Church.

Day 1750 - Living "MNTY" one day at a time.  Today, I will remember that forgiving give opportuity for forgiveness, but does not require it!

Today is Church - Missons Conference begins today.  Marylee is going to try to get here this morning - maybe Ray too, but I doubt it.  It will be a busy week, looking forward to being challenged to do more to do better.   I definitely have to finish "unpacking" today!  And catch up on some paper work.

Yesterday was a good day.  Did not do much but had not planned to either.  So, I guess I did all that I had planned to do.  Enjoyed our evening with Ray and Marylee for dinner and dominoes.  Delivered the dresser and night stand they bought at the Family Store and put up a mini blind for them.  I think they are all ready for family now - they will be there Wednesday.  They will be busy with family for the next two weeks.

Tomorrow is back to normal, almost!  Missions conference continues thru Wednesday.  Last week of February, 2015 already - and I haven't got my new calendars up yet!

Low to mid 80s most of this week, then cooling off to mid 70s by the weekend.  May have to mow the yard this weekend!

Last Week in Haiti:  We were up early, before 5:00 to get to the airport by 7:00.  We got there about 7:30 and had plenty of time.  Bought some coffee to bring home, about the ony thing I bought in Haiti.  Enjoyed the flilght home - I highly recommend Jet Blue - big seats and plenty of leg room.  And the flights were not booked full.  Had the whole row to myself both ways - maybe it was just that no one wanted to sit with me?  After a long bus ride (longer than the plane ride), we got to to the Church at about 2:30 - so glad to be home!

Good to be back in Church this morning - full house, and a great start to the Missions Conference.  Do with the Banner was lighted and that the Haiti Team had been a part of the conference.  And Doris commented that she missed not having more missionaries home on furlough reporting to us at the conference.  I remember the "Round Robin Missions Conferences" we used to have in Indiana.

My Notes on THE SUNDAY SERMON:

Dr. David Doran, Inter-dity Baptist Church, Detroit, was the keynote speaker.
