Good morning. Still warm and wet, more rain today. I am not plowing, or putting on a roof, and the painting can wait so it is no problem for me.
Day 1815 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time. Today, I will remember to make a difference! And to look for opportunities to really help.
Today is A & E @ McD and back to work at the FS. It is rainy, and the last Wednesday of the month so it probably will not be so busy today. I have two days work to catch up on - was on the register Monday and was out yesterday.
Yesterday was a good day. We took The Cooleys to the airport in Orlando - no problems. We were home by 2:00. I went to LA Fitness to sign up for their Silver Sneakers program - just another option for my work out routine. Will see if it is better, it is not a convenient but may be a better fit for me. We got just a little painting done - rain is slowing us done.
Tomorrow is Thursday - Jean and Marv will probably be here sometime in the afternoon. The left Crawfordsville this morning. We are ready - well as ready as we are going to be. I will be good to have them and the weather is steadily improving.
Still waiting for a "normal" week - maybe the second week in September?
MY RUDDER AND ANCHOR!
Psalm 144:1,2 - Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: my goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
Proverbs 29:25 - The fear of man brings a snare: but whoso puts his trust in the Lord shall be safe.
The Word Alive in 1 - 5 (Reading I Kings 19,20)
Morning and Evening (with C. H. Spurgeon) - We need winds and tempests to exercise our faith, to tear off the rotten bough of self-dependence, and to root us more firmly in Christ.
A & E @ McD - Reggie joined us this morning. AJ is having a roof put on his house. Reggie is working for AJ this summer. He has three gallon of masonary paint for me if Doris wants it - for the porches.
Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
