My Prayer For "My Next Thirty Years"

Heavenly Father, teach me to number my days that I may gain a Heart
of Wisdom and fulfill your purpose for my life today.

Good Afternoon.  It is a beautiful day.  What a great way to start the week.

Day 1856 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.  Today, I will remember to keep the ground soft - sometimes I need the "tiller of Truth" to uproot the weeds and enable growth.  It hurts and is hard work and I do not like it!

Church this morning - an unusual message for a Sunday morning - Pastor (Bishop ,Elder) announced a rewrite of our Churches' By- Laws and defended his position.  He talked about the 'Why" this morning and will conclude next week with the "How!"  It is a fundamental change in church government!  It will not be and easy thing for me to accept - it is throwing out everything I have taught and been taught for the last 50 years.  It is not unscriptural but it is not traditionally Baptist.  We have been steadily moving away from the Independent, Fundamental Baptist positions that I have grown up with and upon which our church was founded.  I fear the church will take another hit - maybe that is the purpose.  I am feeling less and less like I belong, I feel tolerated more that wanted.

Yesterday was a good day.  Doris was gone all day at Brooks baby shower with Kelli.  I got the Pepper tree cut down and taken to the curb - took me all day and wore me out. Mowed Friday night.  Face-timed the boys when Doris and Kellie got back about 7:00.  Hope to see them on the Fourth of July!  We will go up or they may come down - whatever!

This week will be 'near normal' - hope to get a lot of painting done and some.  And everyone will be back to work at the store.  Intend to get back to the gym at least on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.  I don't know if I have to work Saturday or not - it is my turn but we have two new cashiers?

MY RUDDER AND ANCHOR!

Psalm 36:7 - How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God!  therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

Proverbs 7:21 - With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.

The Word Alive in 1 - 5  (Reading Nehemiah 4-6)
