My Prayer For "My Next Thirty Years"

Heavenly Father, teach me to number my days that I may gain a Heart
of Wisdom and fulfill your purpose for my life today.

Good morning.  The alarm went off at 5:00, as usual - I got up just a little before 6:00 - not usual.  But slept well and feel good this morning.  It is a beautiful morning.  Hopefully the rain has stopped for a little while -  I am sure the normal afternoon shower will continue but that is no problem.  Not complaining, us saying.

Day 2014 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.  Today, I will remember that God is not picking on us and does not punish us, we do that ourselves, but He does provide us an opportunity to live by faith, to trust Him, one day at a time!

Today is back to work.  It is my Saturday to work so it will be a long week.  Doris will try to get in to see the "Chemo" doctor today, or at least get an appointment.  We want to get started asap.  We want it all over with by the holidays and then maybe, if needed, to start the radiation after the new year.  We really are new to this so are just taking it "one day at at time!"  Maybe the gym today, and maybe get started on the mowing this evening.  A lot of maybe's!

Dakota and Payton start school today - Payton's first day of school - wish I could be there.  They will call me tonight and tell me abour their day.

This evening I do know that I have got to start looking for some help to pay our copays and deductibles - another opportunity to exerise our faith!

Yeaterday was a good day.  We rested and enjoyed the day.  No calls, no interruptions, just a quiet day at home - I do not know how many of those I can take!  A good day at church.  The young people are back from camp and had the evening program.  I am disappointed that Phillip did not talk to us, he has not called or come by at all.  I just expected more from him.  Got to quit that - expectations!

Tomorrow is - I have no idea.

MY RUDDER AND ANCHOR!

Psalm 13:6 - I will sing unto the Lord, because He has dealt bountifully with me.

Proverbs 3:3,4 -  Let not mercy and truth forsake thee:  bind them about thy neck. write them upon the table of thine heart;  So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

The Word Alive in 1 - 5  (Reading Isaiah 10-14)

Morning and Evening (with Spurgeon) - "The LAMB is the light thereof"  Walk in the light!

MMM - just some thoughts:  (1) LBB - Invest your day in others, not yourself, there will be a better return!  (2) RFX - I ask God to help me imitate His love for me in my love for others.

Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
