Good morning.
It is a beautiful morning! Cool, and wet! It is going to rain all day - a great day to get some inside work done. I was up early this morning but sine I have the day off, and it is raining, I am getting around slowly. And enjoying it!
Day 2176 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time. Today, I will remember not to let success go to my head or failure to my heart.
Today is MMM and a day off! Other than a mid morning trip to the Gym I am just planning for the unplanned. Laundry, work around the house, maybe a trip to Publix just to break up the routine. Doris may need me to take her to Hobby Lobby for some yarn - she is making herself a solid color afgan (deep red). She is also going to start working on some more scarves for family. Laundry and housework with fill in the gaps.
Yesterday was a good day. Got a lot done at the store. Donnie and kim, and Jean and Marv were here when I got home. We went out to Golden Coral for and early Dinner and then back home. They did not stay overnight - eight hours driving for a four hour visit! But I have done that before too. It was a good visit and we enjoyed having them. At our age, we need to take every opportunity to see each other when we can!
Tomorrow the weather should improve some. If so, I will try to get some painting andor yard work done. Plenty to do! And we are going out with Cooleys for dinner - we were going to go out today but the weather is going to be really nasty this afternoon.
Next Friday we are going over to New Port Richey to see Doris's Family before they leave for Indiana. I will borrow Trish's Lexus. We will stay the night and come back Saturday evening.
This year's mission trip is just 7 weeks away - but way to early to start packing. The night before is soon enough! It is old hat by now, but it is a new place, and climate - the mountains. The need is the same all over the world - "For God so loved THE WORLD!!!
Been missing my little boys - and my great grand daughter too!
'TILL THE STORM PASSES OVER!
Psalm 71:3 - Be Thou my strong habitaton, whereunto I may continually resort: Thou hast given commandment to save me; for Thou art my rock and my fortress.
Proverbs 15:22 - Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
Lean on the Word in Sixteen (Reading Genesis 43-45) "God did send me before you to preserve your life (45:5).
Hope for Each Day (with Billy Graham) - "Looking for Lasting Joy" May the God of hope fill you with all joy (Romans 15:13) It is life's ultimate frustration - thinking that we will find joy in junk!
MMM - just some thoughts: (1) Remember to open tomorrow! I have the key! (2) Check out "Meal Train" for Andrew. (3) It is not automatic, there is alway a cause out side of ourselves. (4) Sometimes we just need to listen...most of the thinking has already been done. (5) Our disease is premanent, presistent, and progressive!
Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike and Doris
