My Prayer For "My Next Thirty Years"

Heavenly Father, teach me to number my days that I may gain a Heart
of Wisdom and fulfill your purpose for my life today.

Easter Sunday, 2014

Good afternoon.

Day 1439 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at at time.

Today is Church and we have invited the Cooley to share our Easter dinner with us.  Alicia and Kara a coming too.

Yesterday was a good day.  Worked around the house and yard - weather turned out pretty nice most of the day.  Watched and played with the boys too.  Doris went to the movies with Marylee - I stayed with the boys.  Kelli picked them up about 8:30 - they were very good for grandpa!

Tomorrow is back to work and we will have the boys again.  Jeff may or may not be home this week?

This week (Thursday morning) we take the Cooleys to PBIA for their flight back home.  We will miss them - it has been a tough winter for them this year.  We can only hope to see them again next  year.  Hope to get back into my regular summer routine again soon - what ever that was?

Notes on "THE SUNDAY SERMON"

Today, Pastor Phillip took a break for  his exposition of  the epistle of James to bring an Easter message.  It was a good service and a full house.  The choir sang and did a good job.  In just two weeks we begin our unified service - if it is anything like this mornings service, it will be great.  If not, well, I do not want to think about that?!  I have come to terms with the use of the NASB, but I still cannot come to terms with some of the music.  It is not working, I can fix it, but ...!

THE SECOND REQUEST
(LUKE 16: 19-31)

   I.  The request:  "... that thou wouldest send him to me father's
                              house;"

 II.  The response:  "They have Moses and the Prophets;
                               let them hear them."

III.  The reality:  "If the hear not Moses and the prophets,
                            neither will they be persuaded,
                            though one rose from the dead."

I Corinthians 15:12-20

"And if Christ be not raised, you faith is in vain;
 ye are yet in your sins.

Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
