Good morning. The last Sunday of April! Everything changes next Sunday when our single service schedule begins. It is not something new - it is basically the same schedule we had when we first came to Community 22 years ago - but...Community is a lot different than it was then too. I liked it better then! Of course, I like everything better 20 years ago!
It is a beautiful morning. Summer is here - YooHoo!
Day 1446 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time. Today, I will remember that the "Grace of God" is best defined as the "Love of God!" I can be gracious with out being godly, but I cannot be godly with out being gracious. I can be loving without being godly, but I cannot be godly without being loving.
Today is church. Just us, boys are home! The whole place is a mess - we really need to get it cleaned up. We will have Dakota and Payton again tomorrow.
Yesterday was a good day. I worked the whole day on installing a storm door on the back room - it still is not right - will keep trying! Somethings I just do not know, somethings I just do not have, and somethings I just do not have the ability to do.
Tomorrow is Monday - a new start!

My Notes on "THE SUNDAY SERMON"
The last of our "two services" schedule. I have mixed feeling. It is a personal inconvenience to me but I can see some possible advantages for the church body. But unity must be in spirit and will not be accomplished getting everyone in the same room. And good preaching is not in anyway relative more time. Something I really do not like (drums and contemporary music) is being forced upon me with no thought and no inquiry into what "I" think. Again the young people have won - but will they stay by the stuff. I think not! I really believe the actual number of people ministered to on Sunday morning will show an observable decline. If I cannot fine a place to park, or I cannot find a place to sit, if I cannot get in, if I cannot get out, I will stop making the effort to come. If I have to endure the music to be encouraged by the message, I will stop making the effort to come. If I am already involved in my day 'by the time' it is time for Church, I will stop making the effort to come. Just saying!
