Heavenly Father, teach me to number my days that I may gain a Heart

Good morning.  Feeling better this morning, so far.  Slept well.  Cooler (low 60s) this morning and cloudy but will be mostly sunny today (or partly cloudy, if you are a pessimist) and in the upper 70s.  It is a beautiful morning.

Day 1428 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.  Today, I will remember that everyone wants things to get better, no one wants it to get worse.  But we all have different ideas of what is "better" and how to make things better.

Today is MMM and work at the Family Store.  Doris and the Boys are taking Marylee up to Sanford to pick up her daughter an grandson today.  It will be a long day in the car for the boys, but I think they will do OK.  The should be back home by the time I get home from the gym.

Yesterday was a good day.  Felt bad but kept going.  Even took the boys for a walk and played outside with them some.  Doris bought the new lens for her camera that she has wanted since she got the camera.  What Doris want, Doris gets.  What Mike wants will have to wait!  She considers it part of "what I owe her."  I will spend the rest of my life repaying that "debt."  I had planned on buying that lens for her for Mothers' Day anyway.

Tomorrow is Friday, but my weekend will have to wait - have to work Saturday!

GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS

Psalm 49:15 - But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave:  for he shall receive me.

Proverbs 10:22 - The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it.

Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - I Samuel 29-31  Ignoring God's Word always leads to deception and disobedience.

Turning Points (with David Jeremiah) - "The King Eternal"  (Read I Timothy 1:17)  We must meet the uncertainties of this world with the certainty of the world to come.  - A. W. Tozer

MMM - just some thoughts:  (1) When pride stand sentinel at the door of my heart, I shut out the love of God.  (2)  We are all suffering  the pains of growing up.  (3) Being a little kinder, a little slower to anger, an little more loving makes my life better...a day at a time.  (4) The essence of all growth is a willingness to change...for the better...and then an unremitting willingness to shoulder whatever responsibilities this entails.

Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
