Good morning. Up early, slept well. Got to get a headstart on everyone - we have all four of my grandsons here now. Kelli dropped off Dakota and Payton last night to spend some time with Austin and Zachery. It is a wide age range (3 - 14) so it was not always easy, but they did well. Payton felt left out so he came to me - I liked that! We will miss them all so much.
It is a beautiful morning. Clear and dry, with a heavy dew. We got a little rain last night but nothing significant.
Day 1509 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time. Today, I will remember to pray for Walter Britt - the last of my mentors as a teen and young adult. He is 80 and suffered a mild stroke. The last word from his family is that he is doing well but still in the hospital.
Today is MMM and work at the Family Store. I was pleased to meet the Kims and wish them well in their ministry here in Stuart and Martin County. Had a good day at work, until I saw what was done in the book area - but that too will work itself out. (I will get to it when I can get to it.) Yesterday was Men's Clothing, today is electrical/electronics, and tomorrow maybe I can work on books.
Yesterday was a good day. Put off going to the gym to be with the boys. Put off mowing because of the chance of rain. Will do some more "putting off" today. I will have more time next week. Time is generally not the problem, motivation is! But this week it is family first.
Tomorrow is Wednesday - got so much to do - getting all the little boys stuff ready for their move to Georgia. The want to take their bunk bed and maybe dresser if grandma will part with it. Their toys and clothes all have to be sorted and packed too. And it is Dollar Day at the Store. Bible study at Church. And I cannot forget A&E @ McD at 6:00 in the morning. I am tired just thinking about tomorrow - but I only have to get thru today, today!
Loading up the U-Haul Thursday, they are leaving Friday morning. Will be a sad weekend or us.
GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS
Psalm 116:1,2 - I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
Proverbs 24:3,4 - Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding is it established: and by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - Job 38 - 40 (God's question, "Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?" - Job 38:1,2)
Turning Points (with David Jeremiah) - "Spirit-Given Words" (Read Luke 12:11,12) We seldom know the best tying to say -- especially in the face of anger or opposition. But the Holy Spirit can give us the right thoughts. Trust God for the wisdom and His words in every situation.
MMM - just some thoughts: (1) Don't be 'too' anything. (2) Resentments interfere with and weaken Spiritual power and growth.
Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
