Good morning. 8:01 and 72 degrees, clear and sunny, it is a beautiful morning. Up late but rested and ready for a good week.
Day 1521 - living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time. Today, I will remember that I must find a way of reducing my demands (expectations) or live in a continual state of disturbance and frustration. One day at a time - Thy will be done!
Today is MMM and work at the Family Store. I am sure it will be a mess at the store, but I will do my best not to add to it. All I can do is all I can do! I am not in charge, if I were....!
Kelli and the kids will be here sometime this afternoon or evening. So excited to see the little boys and give them a big hug. I know, I need it more then they do! Maybe we can take a walk in the forest and go to the "army truck" park?
Yesterday was a good day. Rained all afternoon. Watched "Gravity" on PPV. Talked to Roy after church about the difference between 'praise' and 'worship' music. And Phil said he would like to have breakfast some time soon - he will let me know.
Tomorrow they go back home. May see them again in a couple of weeks when Austin has a court date in Polk County.
Alicia and Kara are due back on Thursday sometime.
I have to work this Saturday.
GUIDELINES AND GUARDRAILS
Psalm 32:1.2 - Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not sin and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
Proverbs 7:22,23 - He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or a a fool to the corrections of the stocks; till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.
Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - Psalms 72 - 77
Turning Points (with David Jeremiah) - "Invisible Paths" ( My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defence; I shall not be moved. Psalm 62:5,6 )
MMM - just some thoughts: (1) One day at a time - Thy will be done! (2) It had to be painful. (3) Peace is possible...let go of expectations. (4) ...find a means of reducing my demands.
Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
