Good morning. Up later this morning - the alarm went off at 11:45 for some reason so I just shut it off. Restless body and active mind again last night -did not sleep well. But well enough - feel good, nothing hurts (too much) and every thing works. Clear and dry with a light breeze - we will feel some effects of Hurricane C today, fast moving showers and windy at times. But it is a beautiful morning.
Today is Election Day - will vote later this evening.
Day 1570 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time. Today, I will remember "When Jesus comes into the heart, He issues a general license to be glad in the Lord. No Chains are worn in the court of King Jesus! Our admission into the full privileges may be gradual, but it is sure." (CHS M&E)
Today is MMM and work at the Family Store. Short handed this week Gorki and Teresa are both on vacation. Gym after work - I am beginning to see some gym effect - got into my 33s this morning, comfortably! Got to get some work done in the yard and back room this evening. Work, work, work till I die = but if the choice is work or die, well ... !
Yesterday was a good day. Alicia and Kara and Zack took us out to dinner at Longhorn. So nice of them. We really appreciated it. Then went to Rackroom and got me 2 pair of shoes (BOGO 1/2 OFF). I really needed them - so much that I threw the ones I was wearing in the trash as soon as I took them off. Hope the new shoes will help with my heel - I think it will.
Tomorrow is Wednesday - just three more days and the boys will be here!!!
GUIDELINES AND GUARDRAILS
Psalm 128:1,2 - Blessed is everyone that feareth the Lord; that walketh in His ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
Proverbs 26:22,23 - The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the helly. Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a \potsherd covered with silver dross.
Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - Jeremiah 41 - 44
Turning Points (with David Jeremiah) - "Yes to Christ, No to the World!" (For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lust, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age. - Titus 2:11,12) The same grace that helps us say "Yes" to Christ helps us say "No" to the world.
MMM - just some thoughts: (1) Congratulation to Jim on 28 years! (2) No exceptions will be made in my case. (3) We make a choice, we suffer the consequences, we live in the circumstances.
Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
