Heavenly Father, teach me to number my days that I may gain a Heart

Good morning.  Slept well again, up early, getting around slowly.  Some mornings I just move a little slower than I should.  It is a beautiful morning, and expect another sunny and hot day.  We did not get the expected rain yesterday but man get some this afternoon.  The summer weather pattern is still in effect, at least for a few more weeks.

Day 1580 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.  Today, I will remember to expect less, and to give more.  Courtesy and kindness, regularly practiced, help me to live in emotional balance, at peace with myself.

Today is MMM and work at the Family Store.  Hopefully, we will have a full crew (except for our manager, Rosa, who is on vacation).  I will go to the gym after work and then, if it is not raining, I will get a start on the weekend chores - maybe mow the yard or do some trimming on the fence row.

Yesterday was a good day.  Called the boys last night - they will not be here this weekend maybe next (but I have to work), or maybe not until the second weekend of October (will have to work that Saturday too).  I miss them so much - miss seeing them grow up - don't want them to grow up without me!

Tomorrow is Saturday - Hope to finish the work I started at the Cooley's.  Not much else planned.

GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS

Psalm 24:3,4 - Who shall ascend into the hill of the lord? or who shall stand in His holy place:  He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

Proverbs 5:21 - For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and He pondereth all his goings.

Bible Pathways 9 reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - Ezekiel 17 - 19

Turning Points (with David Jeremiah) - "Expert Counsel"  (Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever. - Psalm 145:5,6)  When trouble comes, and it will, focus - not on the trouble, but on God's ability to care for you.

MMM - just some thoughts:  (1) Never be "too" discouraged - or ''too" anything!  (2) Always expect better things ahead.  (3) Amends sometime are to those who are and not to those who were.

Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
