Good morning.I did not set my alarm - and was still up just after 5:00 this morning. But I slept well, did not get up or wake up even once. I have noticed the subtle change in seasons - the days are getting shorter. If i were a bear, I would be getting my cave ready for a long winters nap. But in South Florida, we are getting ready to welcome our friends and family from up north.
Day 1579 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time. Today, I will remember that you have to give 'seeds' time to grow. Just plant it and leave it alone. If there is 'life' in the seed, it will grow. I can not 'cultivate' it until it has taken root.
Today is MMM and work at the Family Store. More rain expected, more than yesterday. Praying for Keith and his family today. Gym after work. Doris is going to contact Kelli to see if they are planning to come this weekend. If so, we will start getting things ready for them - not much to do but to make sure we have bacon and gatorade.
Yesterday was a good day. Busy day at work. Rested in the afternoon and went to Church. We spent time in prayer for Keith and his family - he has a serious brain tumor that must be removed soon. He is in the hospital now. Talked to Pastor Phillip after church about upcoming missions trips. Haiti trip is scheduled for the 2nd week in February. We are going to Dugay to do what we did in Leogone last year.
Tomorrow is Friday - maybe get to see the boys. Got to work the second Saturday of the month so hope they can come this weekend.
GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS
Psalm 19:12,14 - Who can understand his errors? Cleanse Thou me from secret faults. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditations of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.
Proverbs 4:26,27 - Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - Ezekiel 14 - 16
Turning Points (with David Jeremiah) - "Digging Deep" (Be my strong refuge, to which I may resort continually; You have given the commandments to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress. - Psalm 71:3) When digging footers, you have to get below the frost line so as to not be affected by the freezing an thawing conditions on the surface.
MMM - just some thoughts: (10 We are of little use if our attitude is one of bitterness or hostility! (2) Keep calm, and keep calm! (3) Never respond to emotional upset by being emotionally upset. (4) Do the things that make for peace. (5) There is a long ( "My Next Thirty Years" ) period of re-construction ahead!
Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
