Heavenly Father, teach me to number my days that I may gain a Heart
of Wisdom and fulfill your purpose for my life today.

Sunday, September 7, 2014

(This is my last post for a week.
I am taking a week off to disconnect!  No computer, no cell phone for at least a week.
I am sure that I am the only one who will notice!  Still have my home phone, and my mailing address is still the same.  Telemarketers, and mass-mailers are still able to get to me.)

Good Sunday Morning!  It is a beautiful morning.  Rainy, but I do not hear anyone complaining.  If a south floridian will complain about the rain, he will complain about anything!  Slept well again last night and slept late.  Ready for church - just waiting till time to leave.

Day 1582 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.  Today, I will remember "But He give more grace.  Therefore He said, God resists the proud, but gives more grace to the humble."   (James  4:6)

Today is Church.  Looking forward to the emphasis on "Christian Education!"  Interested in seeing how our philosophy is being turned into practice.  In my view, Christian Education must always lead to Christian Evangelism.  Missions must always be our Motive in Mentoring our young Men and Women!

Yesterday was a good day.  Rained all day.  Went to the gym early - and watched it rain all day.  Was bumping into the walls by evening.  Watched "Gran Torino" (Clint Eastwood's best Movie) and went to bed.  Started re-reading CHS's "The World's Greatest Fight."  I do not believe this generation has any idea what He is talking about - not having been a "fighting fundamentalist" of the early and mid 20th century.

Tomorrow is Monday, back at it.  It will be my six day week!  And have to catch up on the work around here that got washed out this weekend.

GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS

Psalm 34:19 - Many are the afflictions of the righteous:  but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

Proverbs 7:2 - Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.

Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in  1 - 4) - Ezekiel  22 - 24

My notes on "THE SUNDAY SERMON"

Pastor Phillip took a break for James to focus on Community Christian Academy.  Doris and I came to Stuart in 1992 to teach in the School.  Alicia graduated from CCA in 1995.  I talked many times with Pastor Holland about the school - most of the time to no avail.  But I am very satisfied with the present administration and education philosophy.

WHY CCA?
"To Serve Our Community's Christian Families"

(To enable our families to be 100% involved in their
children's education and preparation for life!)

"The school, and the church working together to make the home the heart of our children's education."

By Teaching in the home, in the school, in the church, and in the hearts of our children:

  I.  Gospel Fear - to know God's Glory

II.  Gospel Faith - to receive God's Grace

III.  Gospel Fruit - to serve God's Good

"Angry Children are children who have never been prepared to face life as it is!  Provoke not your children to wrath, Prepare them for it!"

(Scripture references: Deut 6:1-9; Lk 2:52; Eph 6:4)
