Good Sunday Afternoon! I have been away from the computer all weekend - giving my 'undivided' attention to my three youngest grandsons, Zachery, Dakota, and Payton. And I am totally exhausted!
Taking Zachery home this evening and the Kelli and the little boys go home in the morning.
DAY 1617 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time. Today, I will remember that it is often more enjoyable to sit back and watch it happen then it is to work at making it happen.
We have really enjoyed having them all here but I gave up on trying to get them to pick up after themselves. I have quit picking up and cleaning up after them too. Doris says I expect too much - I do not, but am tired of defending myself to her so she can pickup after them.
But of course she cannot - her right arm will be in a sling for at least two more weeks.
One more week of work and then I take a week off to help Alicia and Kara move to Ohio. Driving a U-Haul and towing her Jeep. Leaving on Monday the 20th and will fly back on Saturday the 26th.
That will be the last of my vacation for this year.
And I thought that September was a long month!
A few more weeks and everyone will start stressing over the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays.
GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS
Psalm 60:11,12 - Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies.
Proverbs 12:1 - Whoever loves instruction love knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.
Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - Matthew 27,28
My Notes on "THE SUNDAY SERMON"
We had Communion and Baptisms this morning with dinner on the grounds. I knew Phillip could preach a message in 40 minutes.

FAITH THAT WORKS
"An Exposition of the Epistle of James"
(James 4:7-10)
But God gives grace to the humble to:
1. Submit to God - v7
2. Seek God's Presence - v8
3. Sanctify our hands and our hearts - v8
4. Sacrifice our self - v9
And to humble ourselves in His Presence
(leaving the exalting to Him).
"Fighting against sin because of conviction
rather than consequences or conscience
is an evidence of THE faith that works"
Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
