Good morning. It is the last day of November, already! I guess the only way to slow down time to do more with the time we have. You would think that things would slow down a little when we get older - but that is just not the case. So much more I want to do and so much less with which to do!
It is a beautiful morning. Looks to be a good morning in Elyria, and Warner Robins too.
Day 1666 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time. Today, I will remember that there is no difference between the secular and the sacred; every bush is a burning bush, all ground is holy ground, and every day is the Lord's day.
Today is Church. My last Sunday to usher for a while! There will not be a need for a second service - the congregation is much small than even I had expected and fewer snowbirds are nesting here this year. The later start time and longer service is just not working out! About half of us are there just because it is "our" church, and we are not leaving no matter what!
Yesterday was a good day. Nothing was planned and nothing was done! I did go to the gym in the morning and we went to the mall in the afternoon. Mopped around missing the boys the rest of the day. Thought about what I need to do to get the Expo fixed - first I have to find out what is wrong. So discouraged about it - I know nothing last for ever (it is a '92) and I truly am thankful or having it the last three year (it has served me well). But I am just not is a position to replace it or to repair it right now.
We talked to Marylee Cooley last evening - Doris is going over and begin packing today - I should get the key to their new place this week. Hope to move them on the 12th or 13th and then we will have time to clean up the condo and get it ready to rent for them.
Tomorrow is back to work - should be a normal week. Probably the last 'normal' week until after the first of the year.
GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS
Psalm 146:3,4 - Do not put your trust in princes, nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; in that very day his plans perish.
Proverbs 30:5,6 - Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.
Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - II Corinthians 9 - 13
My Notes on "THE SUNDAY SERMON" Pastor Phillip continued in James - but just one verse today, 5:12! A good crowd and a good service but I was surprised by the 'drums' prelude to the service.
Talked to John about helping with the Cooley's move - set Saturday morning the 13th to move. I will have to change my Saturday work schedule and arrange for a small U-Haul truck. Doris and I should have all the packing done.
III. The Effect - An Oath: Commits us Publicly
(Acts 5: 1-11) Binds us Personally
Honors our Performance
IV. The End - So that we may not be judged!
(James 2:12; Matthew 12:36, 37)
