Good morning.  It did not get as cold as some predicted but it is cold enough!  Still, it is the best weather in the nation, well except maybe for Hawaii!

Day 1676 - Living "My Next Thirty Years"  one day at a time.  Today, I will remember that sometime we need to listen to those who are not saying anything.  There are a lot of people "in the closet" on a lot of issues, for a lot of different reasons.  We may need to listen less to the vocal minority, and more to the silent majority.  Maybe, just thinking out loud?

Today is MMM and work at the Family Store.  This is my short week - have tomorrow off.  I will go over after work to help Doris at Cooleys'.  Getting down to the wire - got to get the move on.  Doris has  done a lot already.

Just learned today about the passing of my friend Richard Hoffman.  I will never forget!

Yesterday was a good day.  Doris cooked chili - not as spicy as Joe Russo's, and made with ground beef, but just the way we like it!  Last evening Pastor Phillip taught a clear and compassion study on our position, and purpose as a church and as individuals on the topic of gay marriage and homosexuality.  (www.cbcstuart.com)  To affirm error is to hate; to confront error is love.

Tomorrow I am off and will spend the day getting ready to move Cooleys on Saturday.  I will try to finish the packing and to get the downstairs boxes moved over to their new place.  We pick up the truck at 4:30 and have to pick up Doug an Maureen in Orlando at 9:00.  We won't get to bed until late and have to be up early to begin the move (Phillip, Nick, and their crew will be there at about 8:00).

Then next week we have to clean the townhouse.  Leaving next Friday to spend the weekend at Jeff and Kelli's and celebrate Payton's 4th B'day.  YOOHOO!!!

GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS

Psalms 52:8 - But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.

Proverbs 11:30 - The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.

Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - Titus, Philemon

Turning Points (with David Jeremiah) - "No Turning Back"  ( Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me." - Matthew 16:24 )  The Cross before me, the world behind me; no turning back, no turning back!

MMM - just some thoughts:  (1) ...not my will, but Thine be done - Hof.  (2) Our primary purpose is to stay sober, and to help other's obtain sobriety!  (3) ...that our blessings may never spoil us!  (4) Brett, Jason, and Candy are in our prayers.  (5) Great to see Andy, my "Maine" buddy!

Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
