Good morning. Up early, slept well, still hurting. I fixed coffee and took an IB and sat on the heating pad for a while. But...can't just sit here - got to get going. I am not a really sympathtic or compassionate person so I can't expect any sympathy or compassion. I have so much to do, I just have to keep going.
Day 1668 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time. Today, I will remember we get what we give; we get more than we give; and, we get later than we give. I will remember that getting should never be my motive for giving; but that giving should always be my motive for getting!
Today I am getting around really slowly. I will not make my meeting this morning - it hurts to move, to stand, to walk, to sit, to type. But go to go to work! I think that when I get to moving around more, maybe I will not be so sore, maybe. Doris is going back over to the Cooley's to do some more packing - I hope to feel like going over to help her after work. I am not going back to the gym until I can at least walk upright!
Yesterday was a good day. Hurt all day but made it through. Doris worked over at the Cooley's. Maridel came and got the rent check - told us the rent would go up another 50 dollars a month in January. It is not much but it just wiped out my raise at work and any anticipated raise in SS. But that is what "Living by Faith" is all about.
Tomorrow is Wednesday - the first Wednesday of the month, so it will be a lot busier at the store. A & E with AJ in the morning and Bible Study at church in the evening.
Working six days this week so that I will have the 12 and 13th off to move the Cooleys. Then the next weekend we are going up to see the boys in Georgia - for Payton's 4th birthday and to take them their "Hess Trucks" for Christmas.
GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS
Psalm 7:9,10 - Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just; for the righteous God tests the hearts and minds. My defense is of God, Who saves the upright in heart.
Proverbs 2:7,8 - He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice, and preserves the way of His saints.
Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - Galatians 4 - 6
Turning Points (with David Jeremiah) - "Turn the Caravan Around!" ( "In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength." But you would not. - Isaiah 30:15 )
MMM - just some thoughts: (1) God has a vision of what he wants us to be - and it is revealed in His Son! (2) Self-awareness is to be aware that I am never alone.
Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
