Heavenly Father, teach me to number my days that I may gain a Heart
of Wisdom and fulfill your purpose for my life today.

Good morning.  Slept well, up early, ready to go but wanting to stop!  Cloudy, warmer, no wind - it is going to be a beautiful day.

Day 1705 - Living "MNTY" one day at a time.  Today, I will remember to recognize, and accept my powerlessness, and His powerfulness.  It is not by power, or might, but by His Spirit!

Today is MMM and work at the FS.  I will try to get to the gym after work and then maybe dinner (my birthday dinner) tonight at Longhorn.

Yesterday was a good day.  But began to feel really depressed about my situation at work.  I am anxious to get to Haiti and to get away from work for a week.

Tomorrow is Saturday and I have to work, all day.

Sunday is my Birthday, begin my 69th year.  If I had only known...!

MY RUDDER AND ANCHOR

Psalm 41:1,2 - Blessed is he who considers the helpless; the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, and he will be blessed on the earth:  You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.

Proverbs 9:12 - If you are wise, you are wise for yourself, and if you scoff, you will bear it alone.

The Word, Alive in 1 - 5 - (Reading Genesis 25 - 27)  How prone we are to blame others for our own failure!  Esau sold his birthright for what he thought it was worth.

From "Knowing God" by J. I. Packer:  Knowledge Applied - Our attitude, our aim in studying the Godhead must be to know God himself better.  Our concern must be to enlarge our acquaintance, not simply with the doctrine of God's attributes, but with the living God whose attributes they are.

MMM - just some thoughts:  (1) Step Two tomorrow.  (2) Knowledge is not faith, but there can be no faith without knowledge.  (3) My life continues to unfold with Divine care and direction.

Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike

of diverse excellencies.
