Day 1714 - Living "MNTY" one day at a time. Today, I will remember every thing works out when I let Him work and I get out of the way.
Today is MMM (Step Study, Step Three) and then I have to do some clean up in the back room - the coons and I had a fight last night and the coons won! We meet Ray & Marylee at the store at 11:00 to look at the lift chair that came in this week. And at 1:00 we are going on an afternoon river cruise on the Island Princes. After the cruise, we are going to an early dinner at the Twisted Tuna.
Yesterday was a good day. We are having an enjoyable (most of the time) visit with Jean and Marv. We ran personal errands in the morning, and we spent the afternoon in West Palm Beach. We went to the Palm Beach Outlet Mall and then to City Place where we ate at The Cheesecake Factory. We got turned around so ended up taking the "scenic" route. But everything worked our well!
Tomorrow is Sunday. Church in the morning and I am going to Joe and Arlene's for lunch. Doris is Cooking out so I will not get to go to Joe and Arlene's. I really wanted to, but.
Monday is a Holiday - but I have to work, all day! It is not fair and no one cares! I should call in sick, but I will not. Full time people get paid to do nothing, and I have to do their work so they can. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it! What I hate most is that no one cares!
MY RUDDER AND ANCHOR!
Psalm 76:10 - Surely the wrath of man shall praise You; with the remainder of wrath You shall gird Yourself.
Proverbs 17:3 - Te refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, but the Lord tests the hearts.
The Word is Alive in 1 - 5 (Reading Genesis 49-Exodus 1) The all-sufficient God does not show favoritism.
From "Knowing God" by J. I. Packer: Evidence of Knowing God - Those who know God have a great energy for God. They are active in their reaction to the anti-God trends operating around them.
MMM - just some thoughts: (1) ...willing to be willing. (2) ...our will AND our lives. (3) I made the decision, but have I done it?
Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
Through the agonies of Gethsemane and Golgotha, Jesus was sustained by indestructible joy.
"For the joy that was set before him [He] endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God" - Hebrews 12:2
(John Piper in "Seeing and Savoring Jesus Christ")
