Day 1724 - Living "MNTY" one day at a time. Today, I will remember that living by faith is more than a slogan, it is a way of life, and the way we please God!
Today is Church - baptism, communion, and dinner on the grounds. I will not stay - we are cooking out for Jean and Marv.
Yesterday was a good day. Went to lunch at Sukaru's Japanese Buffet - was rally good - and then to visit the Cooleys. They are doing well. After a stop at Walmart and to Ace to get a key make for the Mazda we drove to Bathtub beach. Pizza Hut Pizza for dinner.
Went out to check to see if the key worked and the car would not start. Turned over but would not fire. Checked it this morning and it started right up. Used the old key this morning...I wonder.
Tomorrow is back to work - but the store is closed. We are finishing our reorganization. Grand Re-opening on Tuesday. Jean and Marv (Jean) will be getting everything packed up for their trip home. They plan to leave Tuesday morning. It has been a good two weeks.
Two weeks from today, we leave for Haiti. I am so anxious to get there and enjoy some warm weather and hard work again. Every year has been different and we and have seen such progress in the ministry of the Orphanage, the Institute, and the Churches. And I am so thankful for all who have made it possible for me to be a part of this opportunity to serve. It is what Jesus did and what I want to do.
MY RUDDER AND ANCHOR!
Psalm 121:1,2 - I will lift up my eyes to the hills - from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.
Proverbs 25:12 - Like and earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold is a wise rebuker to an obedient ear.
The Word Alive in 1 - 5 (Reading Exodus 23 - 25)
My Notes on "THE SUNDAY SERMON" Great service this morning. Many were missing and we missed them. We had a great time of remembrance and celebration. Sorry I could not stay for the dinner on the grounds. Auditorium and grounds looked good after yesterday's work day. Appreciate Deacon John's 'gentle' admonition to the congregation not bring drinks into the auditorium. I would have been more direct!
FROM A SLAVE, TO THE SAINTS
"An Exposition of Paul's letter to the Philippians"
(Philippians 1:3:7)
JOY ACCOMPLISHED!
(Part II)
In our 'depressed' world and our church full of
"depressed Christian, Joy is the cure and
Jesus is the source of that Joy.
Our Joy is sufficient in Christ, and satisfied in service!
Paul's joy is Christ for the Philippians was
expressed in his:
1. Remembrance of their "participation in
Gospel from the first day until now." - vs 4,5
2. Thanks for their "defense and confirmation of the gospel,
you, are all partakers of grace with me." - v 7
3. Confidence of "this very thing!" - v 6
He began, He perfected, and He will complete His Work!
Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
If I had to earn it, I could not; If I could lose it, I would!
