Good morning.clouds this morning but dry. It is a beautiful morning.
Day 1719 - Living "MNTY" one day at a time. Today, I will remember to that everything had to happen for what has happened to happen. God's purpose is our good and His Glory.
Today is MMM and work at the FS. Gym after work. I will spend the evening getting acquainted with my "new" car - a '98 Mazda 626. 179,000 miles and 0 debt - except for the giving of thanks to God for His provision and to those whom He used to deliver His provision. Thanks!
Yesterday was a good day. Short crew at work again. Had Pizza from Luna's - provided for us all by a former employee at the office. Great Pizza. After work Marv and I went to Sports Authority to look around. Stopped at Target and got some coffee. And at Walmart to get his glasses fixed.
Pastor Whitney taught the Bible Study and did a good job. The current series is "What the Bible Says - about Sovereignty."
Tomorrow is Friday. Marv and I are going to the Men's Cookout at the Ministry House at 6:00.
Next week I will have to get serious about packing for the Haiti Trip. (Feb 8 - 15)
MY RUDDER AND ANCHOR!
Psalm 106:
Proverbs 22:
The Word is Alive in 1 - 5 (Reading Exodus 14 - 16) A heart filled with faith in God has no room for fear.
From "Knowing God" by J. I. Packer: Evidences of Knowing God - Those who know God have a great contentment in God. (Roman 8 - the Christian's rocking chair!)
MMM - just some thoughts: (1) Praying for Jay! (2) Gratitude is not saying, but living. (3) I am no longer my first priority! (4) Keep it simple; it is not easy, but it is simple!
Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
The two greatest forces of nature, wind and water,
bowed to God's will and His authority!
(John Piper in "Seeing and Savoring Jesus Christ")
