| See what I can do with what I have! |
Day 1710 - Living "MNTY" one day at a time. Today, I will remember that I can work with what ever is given me. I can make this work! The little boy in the picture made a "church" out of scraps - that is what God does!
Today I will miss my meeting - Doris and Jean are already gone to take Cindy and Kim back to PBIA so I am staying here with Marv. He is still asleep - gives me a chance to write this entry to my blog. Work today - finishing up getting the men's department set up for tomorrow. Almost done and I will make it work, and look good too. Doris and Jean will go to Publix and Walmart I am sure. I want to get to the gym after work, but probably will not.
Snake Road Salvage is picking up my Expo some time today - good by to a faithful servant! Just what I needed, just when I needed it. Thanks Alicia for getting it for me, and thanks Jeff for helping me get it on the road, and thank you, Lord, for making it all work. I trust your wisdom and wait on your provision for all my needs. In His Time; In His Way!
Yesterday was a good day. Rosa had already moved the racks into place for the men's department when I got to work - she did not want my 'suggestions' and has indicated that several times. I give then anyway and she just ignores them. I hate that! Jean and Marv got here a little before 3:00 and we met the Cooleys at RL for dinner at 5:00. My steak was perfect and they sang 'Happy Birthday' to me. Watch the full two hours of "Major Crimes" but was disappointed that one of the bad guys got away - until next season.
Tomorrow is Wednesday. We will be busy at the store. A & E with AJ in the morning and Bible Study at church (What the Bible Say About...Sovereignty) in the evening. I think I have an appointment for my annual Medicare physical? Have not heard for the VA about my annual check up there?
I am off Friday for my long weekend - but not plans yet! I do need to go get a new copy of my SS card and to get my new drivers licenses too. I guess those are plans!
M Y RUDDER AND ANCHOR!
Psalm 61:4,1b - I will abide in your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. When my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
Proverbs 13:10 - By pride comes nothing but stife, but with the well-advised is wisdom.
The Word is Alive in 1 - 5 (Reading Genesis 37 - 39) Acceptance is possible when our Faith is strong!
From "Knowing God" by J. I. Packer: Knowing vs Knowing About - (2) One can know a great deal about godliness without much knowledge of God. We are flooded with the secondhand practice of Christianity. God has no grandchildren!
Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith

Like the lion and the lamb,
let us live fiercely and to love humbly!
