Good morning.
I believe that there is HOPE for HAITI and hope for every Haitian!
It is Monday - here we go again.  It is going to be a good day and an exciting week.  Low 70s this morning, dry, some clouds, and breezy.  Expecting rain this afternoon and evening.  It is a beautiful morning.

Day 1708 - Living "MNTY" one day at at time.  Today, I will remember that I have lived longer than I will, I have done more than I will, and now I have to trust God more that I have.

Today is MMM and work at the FS. Rosa and I are moving the men's department - if everyone shows up for work?  The store is a mess and so much to do - we are re-arranging the store.  Maybe will have time to go to the gym, but doubt it.  Jean and Marv get here this afternoon and we all are going out with the Cooleys to eat at Red Lobster - they want to take me out for my birthday.  There are still a couple of things I need to get done before they get here.

Yesterday was a good day.  Air conditioning is not working but it will get fixed today.  Got all the laundry done but that is about all.  Wish I had done more - could have, should have!

Tomorrow is Tuesday - first full day with company.  No plans that I know of.  I do need to call snake road salvage and see if they will come and get my little car.  Am still riding my bike for now.  It is not a problem as long as it is not raining, or cold, or hot, or windy.  Biggest problem is drivers  who do not look for cyclists - they do not see what they are not looking for and they are only looking for cars.

MY RUDDER AND ANCHOR!

Psalm 56:3,4 - Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.  In God I have put my trust: I will not fear.  What can flesh do to me?

Proverbs 12:1 - Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.

The Word is Alive in 1 - 5  (Reading Genesis 34 - 36)  Compromise always results in disappointments.

From "Knowing God" by J. I. Packer:  Knowing vs Knowing About - (1)  We can know a great deal about God without much knowledge of Him.  Knowledge about him come from study; knowledge of him comes from the Spirit.

MMM - just some thoughts:  (1) Welcome back Ed!  (2) The key to gratitude is acceptance - I did what I did, I am where I am.  (3) Our very first problem in to accept our present circumstances as they are, ourselves as we are, and the people about us as they are.

Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike

We are transient, but eternity is written on our hearts.  The glory of Christ shines all the brighter because the conjunction of His diverse excellencies corresponds perfectly to our complexity.
(John Piper in "Seeing and Savoring Jesus Christ")
