Good morning. Up early, slept well, chores are done. Greater chance of rain the rest of the week, but should be a nice weekend. Had my mini wheats on the back porch and watch the sunrise. It is a beautiful morning.
Day 1578 - Living "My Next Thirty Year" one day at a time. Today, I will remember, and remind the those of this generation, that when they talk about the failures of the past, sometimes they are talking about the successes of my present!
Today is A & E @ McD with AJ and work at the Family Store. AJ is not back yet but I will go and have coffee anyway - I enjoy the early morning drive and getting out by myself. It is Dollar Day at the store and it is the first Wednesday of the month, so it should be busy today. We are still short handed and I am still having to do 'other' peoples jobs - i just do it! (Will probably have to go out on the truck again today.) Gym this afternoon, and church this evening. Expecting rain.
Yesterday was a good day. Went out on the truck with Ricky. Went to the gym. Came home and did nothing. Sore from the work I did Monday at the Cooley's. But it was worth it - so glad it is done, and that I did it. They are good people and worth the effort.
Tomorrow is 'clean-up-Wednesday's-mess' day.
Still have not heard anything from Kelli - whether or not they are coming this weekend.
GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS
Psalm 14:2 - The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
Proverbs 3:7 - Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - Ezekiel 10 - 13
Turning Points (with David Jeremiah) - "Night Lights" (The day is Yours, the night also is Yours; You have prepared the light and the sun. - Psalm 74:16) The Son is the light of the world, even in the night of the world.
A & E @ McD - Read a review of a book about John R. Rice and Fundamentalism in the early and mid 20th Century - my heritage! (The inspiration for my thought for the day.)
Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
