CHRISTMAS DAY, 2014

Good morning.  Up with the alarm.  Woke up around 1:30, heard a noise, thought it might be Santa's sleigh breaking the sound barrier - but it was just thunder.  Got a good rain last night as a cool(er) front moved through.  All is quiet on this home front this Christmas day - thinking about our family with their families this morning.  Feeling lonely, but know we are blessed, and loved, and are so thankful for our children and their children.

Day 1690 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.    Today, I will remember that I am most 'happy' when I am in the presence of those who are happy that I am present.

Today is MMM (I am opening and making coffee) and then our traditional Christmas morning breakfast.  Then some chores - getting thing ready to for the girls.  We are leaving about noon to go to Winter Haven to get them.  We will probably stop at GC for Christmas Dinner before getting home.  They will be here until Tuesday.

Yesterday was a good day.  Had a good Staff Christmas Luncheon at Carabba's.  Got a Walmart gift card - will use it for the girls.  We  went to Home Depot to get a couple of plants for Doris.

Tomorrow we will go to Cooleys to clean before we take the girls shopping for their Christmas gifts.  It will give them a chance to earn a little extra to spend when Doris takes them shopping.  And it will give Doris some time with the girls away from other distractions.

I am spending the weekend working around the house and yard - plenty to do.  Jean and Marv are coming down some time in January for a couple of weeks.  And I leave for a week in Haiti in February.

Trying to keep busy - that is easy enough to do - so as not to get lonely or depressed during the Holiday Season.

GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS

Psalm 122:1 - I was glad when they said to me, "Let us go into the house of the Lord."  Because of the house of our God I will seek your good.

Proverbs 25:28 - Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls.

Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - Revelation 6 - 8

Turning Points (with David Jeremiah) - "The True Spirit of Christmas"  ( For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; for behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. - Luke 1:48 )  We hear about the three wise men. but do not forget the three wise women - all named Mary!  Mary, the mother of Jesus, Mary of Bethany (sister of Martha), and Mary Magdalene.

MMM - just some thoughts:  (1) It was a blessing to be of service on this special day!  (2) Practicing the principles of the program in all of my affairs.

Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
