The Day After!
Good morning. Getting a late start here this morning - but, today, no one is in a hurry. I have been up since 4:30 - hear a sound like running water coming from the wall in the bathroom. Nothing in on and cannot detect any leaks anywhere - will call the water department to have them come out and check the meter. Cool, clear, dry, low 60s this morning.
Day 1691 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time. Today, I will remember that Christmas day was the 'birth' day not the last day. May we honor and serve Him every day!
Today is MMM and work at the Cooley's townhouse this morning. Later Doris will take the Girls shopping and I will go to the gym. Not much else planned - just to make good use of my time off to make a difference around the house and yard. Hope to get a chance to look under the Expo to see if I can see if I can find or fix the cause of some of the noise it is making. It sounds like it is ready to explode and die.
Praying for a newer/better car, so thankful for the service the Expo has given, could not have asked for more - she gave her all!
Yesterday was a good day. Spent most of it on the road picking up the Girls. Stopped at GC for dinner. Then we took a 'Christmas Lights' tour before going home.
Tomorrow is another day to work around the house and yard, and finish up at the Cooley's. I want to start the new year not having a lot left to do. I have not finished 2013's list yet!
GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS
Psalm 127:2 - It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; for so He gives His beloved sleep.
Proverbs 26:17 - He who passes by and meddles in a quarrel not his own is like one who takes a dog by the ears.
Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - Revelation 9,10
Turning Points (with David Jeremiah) - "Addicted to Stress" ( For God is not the author of confusion but of peace. I Corinthians 14:33 ) Don't wait until the New Year to live your life to Jesus. Claim His peace and let Him bestow the inward satisfaction you seek. He in not the author of confusion, but of peace.
MMM - just some thoughts: (1) Do not worry "too much" about people you cannot help! (2) Make it a point to visit other meetings too. (3) ...transform my difficulty with living into the joy of living. (4) Accept and react to success and failure without pride or despair.
Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
