Good morning. Did not sleep well at all last night. And woke up with a tension headache over my left ear. Probably due to my glasses, need new ones - it has been probably 4 years since I have had my eyes checked. Could be just the stress of the season and family. Stressed about my the car too - it is just getting worse. The Lord Knows!
Day 1692 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time. Today I will remember that without faith it is impossible to please God - and I want to please God! I do not know what to do or how to do what I do not know what to do - but the Lord know. But, I know He does and I trust Him to provide the wisdom and the where-with-all!
Today is MMM and work at the Cooley's. Hopefully we will complete most of the work today. We keep putting it off but that ends today. Maybe a trip to the mall this evening and 'dinner' at S&S.
We are down to one car now - and Doris refuses to be "carless" - so I am. All the coulda-woulda-shouldas does not change what is! Got to make sure I have a working bicycle just in case. It seems like dejavu all over again (Yogi).
Yesterday was a good day. Doris went shopping with the girls and did a little work at the townhouse. Called Jim and he came over to see if he could determine why we are hearing running water in the house. We think it is coming from the street side of the meter - but we still do not really know for sure. They told us it was not coming thru our meter - we will see when we get our new water bill!
Tomorrow is Sunday - the girls are going to church with us, then an old-fashion Sunday dinner. Then maybe some yard work - we need to transplant some potted plants and clean and arrange them a little better. Our front porch is beginning to look like a jungle with just a path to the door.
Taking the girls home Monday - not sure when - maybe after I get off, or maybe Doris will take them home her self Monday morning. Whatever they want.
GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS
Psalm 132:11 - The Lord has sworn in truth to David; He will not turn from it: "I will set upon your throne the fruit of your body."
Proverbs 27:1 - Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.
Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - Revelation 12,13
Turning Points (with David Jeremiah) - "Fireside Chats: The Nativity" (And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. - Luke 2:16) A Nativity scene is a wonderful teaching tool for Christmas family devotions - bringing the first Christmas into the present.
MMM - just some thoughts: (1) I have not encountered any exceptions! (2) Not everyone makes it!
Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
