My Prayer For "My Next Thirty Years"

Heavenly Father, teach me to number my days that I may gain a Heart
of Wisdom and fulfill your purpose for my life today.

Sunday, December 28, 2014

(Thinking about some changes I want to make to my blog for the new year.  Any suggestions?)

Good morning.  It is Sunday, the last day of my long weekend.  And the first day of another short, holiday week/weekend.  I work Mo, Tu, and Fr but am off We, Th and Sa!  It is going to be a tough week though - getting used to not have a car and having to depend on Doris when she can and myself when she can not!  I know that God will provide my need or show me that I do not have a need - either way, I trust in His purpose.

Day 1693 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.  Today, I will remember that that to intercede for others in prayer is the essence of missions.  To act on behalf of others is the effect of missions.

Today is Church - the last Sunday of 2014.  The girls are going with us.  Doris is cooking a "Sunday Dinner" for the girls.

Yesterday was a good day.  Got some more work done at the townhouse - more to do.  We took the girls to the mall and we just sat and watch the people while the girls shopped.  They took the money they earned helping Doris and spent most of it on others - good girls with good hearts.

Tomorrow is back to work.  No car - don't know how this is going to work.  Doris is taking the girls home - if they wait until I get off, I will go with them.

It is going to be an interesting last week of 2014!

GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS

(Thinking about some changes I want to make to my blog for the new year.  Any suggestions?)

Psalm 137:4 - How shall we sing the Lord's song in a foreign land?

Proverbs 28:23 - He who rebukes a man will find more favor afterward than he who flatters with the tongue.

Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 - 4) - Revelation 14-16

My Notes on "THE SUNDAY SERMON"

It was good to be back in Church - was on the road home from Georgia last week.  And it  was good to have our grand daughters with us this week.  It is my daily prayer that God would draw all my grand kids unto Himself, that they would come to know, love, and serve Him.

What a great message with which to end the year!

"THREE QUESTIONS"

IS THIS THE DAY?
AM I READY?
ARE YOU IN CHRIST?

It is a time of self-examination; a time of re-alignment, a time of reinforcement and a time of redemption!

Self-examination strengthens our faith and eliminates our fears!

Four reasons for self-examination:

1.  Many are mistaken!  Many just do not know!  Many have not
been challenged with the TRUTH.  (Matt 13:36-43)

2.  This life is our only chance to get it right.  There are no second
chances in the grave.  (Luke 16:26, Heb 9:27)

3.  Man is not our judge, but God is and WILL!  (Rev 20:11-15,
     2 Cor 5.10, Heb 10 37-39)

4.  It is our Blessed Hope, Joy and Peace.  We have been set apart
by a common Grace; separated from the world unto God!
     (Heb 12:1-3)

Two question:

1.  In your public life, Are you Christian in how you play!

2.  In your private life, are you Christian in how you pray!

If we confess our sins, He is faithful, and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
