THE END IS NEAR!

It is the end of another year.  I just read my post from a year ago - not much different from today except we had the boys.  My routine has not changed at all - still doing the same things, the same way, for the same reasons.  No closer to having a Toyota Pickup, or a 12 ga coach gun, or taking a Caribbean cruise than I was last year.  But they are just dreams, not priorities.

Family has all moved away this year and that is different.  Jeff is in the state of GA, Alicia is in the state of OH.  And we are in the  state of loneliness!

Day 1696 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.  Today, I will remember that the less I change, the more things around me change. But it is all "things" - God does not change, and man does not change in his basic nature and need.

Today is A & E with AJ - this morning at the DD on east ocean.  Then we want to get an early start on the finishing the work at Cooley's townhouse.  Hope to get to the gym before they close (at 2:00).  Then I will work on my desk area - want to start the new year clean and orderly!  No church tonight.  I miss the old-fashioned "watchnight services" I participated in as a young man.

Yesterday was a good day.  Got a lot of work done at the store, went to the gym, and that was it!  Thought we were going to Walmart and Lowe's but we did not.

Still considering what to do about the Expo.  I need to do something but have to 'count the cost' of getting it fixed or just junking it.  I really want to get it running again, but?

GUIDELINES & GUARDRAILS

Psalm 119:11 - Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.

Proverbs 31:4,5 - It is not for kings, of Lemuel, It is not for kings to drink wine, nor for princes intoxicating drink; lest they drink and forget the law, and pervert the justice of all the afflicted.

Bible Pathways (reading thru the Bible once more in 1 -4) - Revelation 21,22

Turning Points (with David Jeremiah) - "Never Alone" - ( For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." - Hebrews 13:5 )

A & E @ McD - We met at Dunkin Donuts on East Ocean Blvd this morning.  AJ has a door for me - will bring it to church Sunday.  We will spend the next year listening for the trumpet!  Talked about the destruction and re-construction of our church.  It is more "their" church than "our" church now.  Maybe it will be different this new year, maybe?

Saved by Grace . . . Living by Faith,
Mike
