HAPPY NEW YEAR! May I remember that nothing changes until I change; and the "one thing" I can change is my attitude.
Good morning, up at 5:10 - trying to get up earlier this year! It will be easier as the mornings start getting earlier. Chores all done, ready for the day - heading to MMM in a few minutes, Dave is celebrating his 7th today! I weighed 160 this morning - want to get to 150 by the time I leave for Guatemala on the 7th of March.
Day 2164 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time. Today I will remember my "new year" can begin with each new day!
Today is MMM and then...? I know what I want to do and I know that there is a so much that I need to do. If I do what I want, I will feel guilty that I did not do what I need to do, and if I do what I need to do I feel angry that I did not get to do what I want to do. I guess the answer is to want to do what I need to do!
Yesterday was a good day. Went to the gym, mowed the yard, got the rest of "Christmas" put away. Watched "A Walk in the Woods" with Doris and went to bed.
Tomorrow I will work on all the things I 'needed' to do today and did not! I think I really should not thing of doing so much as being. Being a good husband, a good father, and grandfather, and great grandfather, a good ... It not not so much what I do as what I am!
Next week is loaded - Doris has three apppointments and the Cooley get back on the 7th - we will need to pick them up at Orlando.

Proverbs 1:7 - The fear of th Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Lean on the Word in Sixteen - (Read Genesis 1 - 3) "In the beginning God..." Let's begin at the beginning!
Hope for Each Day (with Billy Graham) - "In Tune with the Master" When we live apart from God, our lives get out of tune - out of harmony with others and with God. As the new year begins, ask God to help you tune your life every day to His Word, so you can bring harmony and joy to those around you.
MMM - just some thoughts: (1) Remember to open in the morning! (2) Congratulations, Dave, on 7 years - be on guard for the unguarded moment. (3) I now have friends - work on keeping them!
