My Prayer For "My Next Thirty Years"

Heavenly Father, teach me to number my days that I may gain a Heart
of Wisdom and fulfill your purpose for my life today.

Saturday, March 10, 2018

Good morning.  It is warmer this morning, a high today in the upper 70's!  It is a beautiful morning - sunny and dry.  High tomorrow of low 80's!!!

Day 2947 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.

Today is my Saturday to work at the Family Store.  This evening I will start packing for the missions trip.  A lot of last minute chores to do for Doris too.

Yesterday was a good day.  AJ and Maryellen got home a day early so I got to sleep in my own bed last night.  I enjoyed house/dog sitting for them and Lotto!  But glad to be home with Doris and able to help here.

Tomorrow is church and finishing packing for the trip.

Next week in Guatemala - not sure about blog posts next week?

Froday. Marc h 9.2018

Good morning.  Down into the mid 40's this morning,  My feet are cold!  But sunny and dry - will warm up quickly into the mid 70's today!

Day 2946 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.

Today is My Morning Meeting and work at the Family Store.  This afternoon, after I take care of Lotto we are going out to buy a new printer and then dinner - maybe Ruby Tuesday's.

Yesterday was a good day.  We went to Walmart!

Tomorrow, I have to work  but AJ will be home sometime in the afternoon so I will not have to go back out to the ranch.  Last minute chores and packing for the missions trip.

Got to go!

Good morning.  Another ho-hum day in paradise.  Doris's flowers have really perked up with the sunshine and cool temps.

Day 2944 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.

Today, after work, I will go with Doris for an appointment in WPB.  Just some business, not health related.  Bible Study at church - a lot of people gone so the crowd will be small, maybe.

Yesterday was a good day.  Worked all day (till 6:00) - Jeff and Teresa were both out, and it was Darla's day off.  Long day and was really tired.  Feel better this morning.

Have to work Saturday too.  I guess I will pack for my trip to  Guatemala Sunday afternoon, and Monday morning.  We will leave for the airport about 7:30 - that will not leave me much time for last minute packing.

Good morning, another cool morning - 58 and full sun!!  It is a beautiful morning.  Slept much better last night and was on time for my morning meeting.  A good start to a good day!

Day 2843 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.  Writing my story in the present tense!

Today is Tuesday. trash day.  I guess that is why I slept so well last night, I took the trash out before I went to sleep!

Yesterday was a good day, went to the dentist, got bad news and good news.  I need to get a tooth fixed ($$$) - the good news is that he can fix it.  It will all work out!  I was late to work but it was a slow day and everything was covered.  Jeff and Teresa were off.

A week from today I will be waking up in the mountains of Guatemala.  Still do not have all the funding for the trip but am sure the Lord will take care of it in His time, and in His way!  His purpose never goes unfulfilled!  Am so looking forward to being with the churches in and around Santa Tomas.

I am enjoying the peace and quiet of the country (at AJ's) but keep thinking of all the work I am leaving undone around here.  But it is not going anywhere soon, it will be here when I get here.

Have not heard from Marylee - Doris will call today.

Monday, March 5, 2018

Good morning!  It is cold (to us "native" Floridians!  But sunny and dry.  Just glad I am not in the northeast this morning.

Day 2842 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.

Today is a dental appointment with Dr. Turke.   Then work, then home to do some chores, and then back out to the ranch to care for Lotto.  Way to much to do this week but it is what it is.

Yesterday was a good day.  A great day of worship, celebration, and fellowship at church.  Celebrated the Lord's Supper and Baptized new believers.  The church was full. and the food was filling.  Went home and took a short nap before going back out to AJ's.

Tomorrow is much of the same - trying to make every minute count.

We leave for Guatemala next Monday at noon!  Will be back the following Saturday evening.  Mostly a teaching and planning meeting for the teen trip in June.  Hope to go with them - but the money will be the determining factor.  The Lord Knows!

Doris has her Chemo next week also - wish I could be here for her but she said she would be ok and said I could go.  She has one more after this one and then some tests to measure the effectiveness of the treatments and determine any further treatment.

Maybe the boys will come and see Grandma soon - would be so good.

Thursday, March 1, 2018

Good Morning, it is a beautiful day - cooler and less humid today.  A great day to enjoy our new pergola.

Day 2839 - Living "My Next Thirty Years" one day at a time.  Today is ... Yesterday was ... Tomorrow may be!!!

Today is work at the Family Store and then the Gym.  Nothing planned outside the home this evening, but lots to catch up on around the house.  Norm just called and let me know that he was reserving our tickets for Guatemala for Monday morning, March 12.

Yesterday was a good day.  A better day at work and a good close to the Missions Conference.  Everyone raved about Doris's chocolate sheet cake.

But we got word from Cindy that her mom, our dear friend, Marylee has not been given long - her cancer has spread beyond treatment.  We love her so and hope to see her if we can make the trip to New York!

Tomorrow is a work in progress!

I have got to get started on this post earlier - I always run out of time.
